The term “synesthesia” refers to those situations in which an auditory, olfactory, tactile, or visual stimulation is perceived as two different but coexisting sensory events.
Synesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway.
In the world of art is a well-known experience.
The painter, Vasilij Kandinskij, claimed to hear the voice of colors, which were sounds and living entities, as he explains well in his book The spiritual in art.
More indicative of an actual presence of synaesthesia is the case in which perceiving a stimulus (such as sound), we have a precise and proper reaction of another sense (for example, sight)
The phenomenon is involuntary, but if we pay attention to it, with greater awareness, we can be able to take advantage of this sensorial contamination and move into its space.
After studying the work of the Italian composer Ennio Morricone, I had the idea to create a Tantric workshop around his compositions, universally recognized as some of humanity’s most sublime creations and legacy.
And because many of them are soundtracks, they fit the concept of synesthesia very well.
In this workshop, you will see the sounds, hear the colours, touch the space, connect with your body and others in unusual and unexpected forms.
